The Clare Credit Unions Adult Camogie Championship concluded on Saturday with two thrillers of matches in the senior championship.
Newcomers to senior, Clarecastle/ Ballyea won their first silverware at this level when they overcame an experienced Kilmaley side in the Glenomra Senior Shield Final at Fr. McNamara Park on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-12.
Cusack Park set the scene on Saturday afternoon for an absolute battle for glory between holders, Scariff-Ogonnelloe and Truagh-Clonlara. What a match it was, the result resting in the balance throughout!! In the end, it was Truagh-Clonlara that came out on top, claiming their first senior McMahon Cup - final score Truagh-Clonlara 2-11 Scariff-Ogonnelloe 1-13
Congratulations to all our county champions and commiserations to the runners up.
Many people deserve our thanks, but let's start with a big thanks to Clare Credit Unions for their sponsorship of the Clare Camogie adult championships, your support is truly appreciated.
Thanks to all the match officials, referees, umpires, lines people, stewards involved - it couldn't be done without ye!
Clare GAA and all the clubs that gave their pitches as neutral venues deserve a special word of thanks.
Our county fixtures committee deserve a huge thanks, they had their own battles, mostly against the elements with inclement weather resulting in closed pitches and postponements. They worked tirelessly to keep the show on the road!
Thanks to Brid MacNamara for once again producing a top class match programme for the McMahon Cup Final.
It isn't all over yet, as Truagh-Clonlara and St. Josephs Doora Barefield continue on to Munster Club Championship in November - fixtures details to follow.
