The postponed round 2 of the Clare Credit Unions Senior Championship, played on Saturday, set up the pairings for this years eagerly anticipated semi-finals which take place on October 21st.
Round 2 results:
Scariff-Ogonnelloe 4-27 v 1-05 Sixmilebridge
Kilmaley 1-10 v 3-14 Feakle-Killanena
Clarecastle/Ballyea 3-11 v 0-09 Clooney Quin
Inagh-Kilnamona 2-17 v 1-03 Newmarket on Fergus
In Group 1, Feakle-Killanena had an unbeaten run to the top of the table with Truagh-Clonlara in second place. Group 2 saw Inagh-Kilnamona and holders, Scariff-Ogonnelloe tied in the top position having played out a draw in round 3. Inagh-Kilnamona take the top spot based on scoring difference.
Group 1 saw 2022 intermediate winners, Clarecastle/Ballyea, retain their senior status with a good win over Clooney-Quin.
McMahon Cup Semi finals:
Feakle-Killanena v Scariff-Ogonnelloe
Inagh-Kilnamona v Truagh-Clonlara
Glenomra Shield semi finals:
Kilmaley v Newmarket-on Fergus
Kilkishen/Bodyke v Clarecastle/Ballyea
Relegation:
Clooney-Quin v Sixmilebridge
The senior county finals are scheduled for October 28th and the McMahon Cup winners will play the Cork champions in the Munster Club 1/4 final on November 11th.
