Newmarket on Fergus got their 2017 Div 1 League off to the perfect start when they accounted for Kilmaley on Saturdayevening. A goal in each half aligned to a ten point haul for Zoe McInerney ensured victory for the Blues.

Scariff Ogonnelloe 4-13 Corofin 0-3
Scariff Ogonnelloe had a comprehensive win in this first round of the league on Friday evening. A good all round display with goals coming from Aisling Corbett, Lynda Daly, Mairead Scanlon and Sarah O' Donnell. These goals were aided by strong performances in the backs by Marian O' Brien, Susan Daly and Aoife Maloney. This first match of the season was a promising performance from Scariff Ogonnelloe, with a mix of experience and youth.

Div 3 League
Eire Og 2-14 Tulla 0-2
Tulla took on a strong Eire Og side in this opening round fixture. It took Tulla until the break to adjust to the pace and intensity of the Eire Og side but when they did it was a much more even affair with Eire Og having to work hard for their second half scores. However the result was never in doubt with the final score reading Eire Og 2-14, Tulla 0-2. Some strong performances from Aoife Flody, Kayleigh Cahill, Sorcha Costello & Roisin Conway led to Tulla's second half improvement.
