A six goal heist set Feakle/Killanena up for a comprehensive victory in this the fourth round of the Intermediate championship. When Regan Conway hit for goal mid-way through the first half, Feakle/Killanena had already slotted over 5 points to Clarecastle Ballyeas 1 point. Feakle Killanena didn’t rest on their laurels and added 5 more points before the break to leave the half time score 1-10 to 0-2.
Robyn Conway raised another green flag from the throw in and further goals from Conway, Rachel McNamara, Regan Conway and Poly Edge O Neill made this a step too far for the Clarecastle Ballyea girls. Final score Feakle/Killanena 6-16 Clarecastle/Ballyea 1-6.

Kilkishen/Bodyke 1-16 Whitegate 1-6
Kilkishen/Bodyke defeated Whitegate in the fourth round of the intermediate championship in Whitegate on Sunday on a final score of Kilkishen/Bodyke 1-16 Whitegate 1-6.
The visitors started the game well with a goal from Kate O’Gorman and three points from Kate Lynch before Greta Hickey pointed for Whitegate. Kilkishen/Bodyke kept the pressure on the Whitegate backs with further points from Kate O’Gorman, Caoimhe Kelly, Kate Lynch and Niamh O’Brien. Lauren Solon hit the back of the Kilkishen/Bodyke net from a free for Whitegate, followed by points for Kilkishen/Bodyke by Niamh O’Brien and Caoimhe Kelly before Aine McDermott pointed to leave the half time score Kilkishen Bodyke 1-9 Whitegate 1-2. Whitegate’s Greta Hickey opened the scoring of the second half with a point before Siobhan Lenihan pointed for Kilkishen/Bodyke. Whitegate kept pressure on the Kilkishen/Bodyke backs with Edel McNamara denying them of a goal opportunity from a Lauren Solon free, before her hurley deflected two shots over the crossbar. Kilkishen/Bodyke settled again with points from Caoimhe Kelly (0-2), Shauna Doyle (0-2) and Siobhan Lenihan (0-2), before Susan Fahy pointed for Whitegate to leave the final score Kilkishen Bodyke 1-16 Whitegate 1-6.

Tulla GAA: Tulla 1-13 Inagh Kilnamona 1-9
Inagh/kilnamona came to Tulla on Sunday afternoon on the back of two wins from two. Tulla had won their first day out but are a game behind, so both sides were anxious for a win. The visitors started quicker and had the first score when Ciara Hehir pointed from play within the first minute. Tulla settled and Bridin Dinan levelled matters after three minutes. The sides exchanged scores before Tulla got a run and scored three unanswered points to give them a lead that they never surrendered, and a goal from Aisling Hunt in the twenty first minute helped them to a 1-7 to 0-5 lead at half time. In the second half Tulla kept up the pressure and in spite of great efforts by the visitors kept the scoreboard ticking over. Inagh/Kilnamona were rewarded for their efforts with a goal just before the final whistle to leave the full time score Tulla 1-13 Inagh/mona 1-9. Tulla will have been pleased with the general performance from the team especially Aoife Floyd in her first start between the posts, who brought off a very good double save early in the second half when Inagh/Kilnamona were pressing hard. This was a sound team win but they will know they still have work to do.

Feakle GAA: Feakle/Killanena 0-11 Scarriff/ Ogonnelloe 1-4
The East Clare neighbours played out a highly entertaining fixture in this last round of the championship. Allana Moloney opened the scoring for Feakle/Killanena when she slotted over a point following an Eleanor Nugent pass. Scarriff Ogonelloe hit back with a goal from play but they couldn’t not capitalize on this and Feakle/Killanena responded with seven unanswered points, four from Louise Keehan and one each from Nugent and Sinead Canny. Scarriff Ogonnelloe pulled one back before the break to leave the score 0-8 to 1-1
The second half was a much more even affair. Scarriff Ogonelloe reduced the deficit to a with three unanswered points. Feakle/Killanena fought back as Johanna Fogarty and Allana Moloney held solid in the centre and with Linda O’Brien mopping up any loose ball in the backline Scarriff Ogonnelloe could not add to their tally. Roisin Quilligan moved to centre field added much need strength and she quickly found the target with a pass perfect from Roisin Tuohy. Feakle/Killanena pushed on with two more points from scorer in chief Louise Keehan. Scarriff Ogonelloe were denied a goal in the dying minutes by a great interception by corner back Terase O Donnell.
